Montenegro - October 9-16, 2022
I travel the world to find beautiful and serene retreat locations which support going deep in our practice. I am delighted to offer my next annual retreat at a peaceful haven of coastal beauty and mountain vistas in Montenegro.
Our yoga retreat home provides a cozy nest in the midst of nature. The Retreat is surrounded by various walking trails in a village on top of a hill and takes about 10/15 minutes to walk to the local beach.
Expect to be energized, strengthened and relaxed by yoga, silenced and calmed by pranayama and meditation, nourished by healthy food and rejuvenated by the sparkling clear Adriatic sea.
Yoga classes are geared to Iyengar Levels II and up, but all levels are welcome. I work with your individual needs and show you how to modify the poses to maximize the benefits of your practice regardless of physical abilities or the level of your experience.
Each day begins with meditation followed by an asana class. There will be two vegetarian meals prepared for us, as well as scheduled coastal hikes, swimming, optional excursions, massage treatments, and chill-out time. There is an afternoon restorative yoga and pranayama class followed by Patanjali's Yoga Sutra study. After dinner there is meditation ... followed by silence.
All activities are optional, and there will be free time to discover beautiful lakes, old towns and ruins as well as time to recharge and reconnect with your inner self.
All bedrooms are spacious, have private bathrooms and beds can be separated Into single beds. There are:

This tiny Balkan country along the Adriatic Sea is bordered by Croatia on the north and Albania on the south. It is smaller than the state of Conneticuit, yet it contains some of Europe's most rugged mountains, its deepest canyon, the largest lake in the Balkans, a fiord, 4 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and 117 beaches.
The best airport option is Podgorica Airport (TGD) (Montenegro). Many airlines fly there including Ryanair which have cheap direct flights from England, Sweden, Germany and Belgium. From the airport, it takes one hour by car to the retreat. Transfer from and to this airport can be arranged on request for a fee to be published.
From the Dubrovnik Airport (DBV), the retreat is a 2 1/2 hour coastal drive south, which includes a tour through the incredible Bay of Kotor, if you wish to extend your adventure.
